Izzy Gliksberg Composer Real

Izzy Gliksberg is an international award winning composer, pianist and producer.

His work combines traditional film scoring with an electronic edge influenced by contemporary pop, experimental electronica,  hip hop and art rock. Gliksberg composed original scores for shorts, animations and feature documentaries by  ABC, History Channel, director Yulia Ruditskaya, director Johnny Ma  and Bank of America among others.

Gliksberg is the winner of many international prizes including the Gertrud-Kraus Composition Competition, the Cahna Yidor Avni Composition Competition, the Nathan C. Davis Prize in Composition, and the Kevin Spacey Foundation Artist of Choice award, as well as grants from the AICF, the Josephson Educational Trust and Manhattan School of Music. Gliksberg is a graduate of the Columbia-ASCAP  film scoring program.

Gliksberg has worked as an orchestral arranger and pianist  with international rock and pop figures such as Asaf Avidan and Berry Sakharof and has arranged and composed for numerous ensembles and orchestras including The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Camerata, and The Israel Chamber Orchestra.

Gliksberg is the leader of the Art Rock outfit Late Sea, and  has performed with the group extensively around the greater NY area. The group received the Kevin Spacey Foundation artist of Choice award for their visual EP The Writers Trilogy.

Gliksberg holds a masters degree in classical composition from the Manhattan School of Music in NY, as well as a bachelors degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
